Opportunities and Gifts

How to move forward!

Having the ability to speak English can be a very valuable skill, however, successfully accepting and accomplishing the goal of learning English may be far MORE valuable. What do I mean? Having goals adds meaning and direction to your life. Having big, exciting goals can be a beautiful component to your life! Waking up, refreshed, energetic and enthusiastic to “get to work” on your goals, each and every day, then going to bed satisfied with the progress you made, sounds like a good recipe for the purpose driven life. The serious goal setting and achieving practitioner knows what I am talking about. And this person also understands the goal is really not the goal. Yes, achieving the goal is great, but, it is only a bonus. A welcome, appreciated bonus. But the real benefit to working towards your goals, is how each day transforms and changes you. Yes, to reach your goal, you must grow, evolve, and be better. Your future success will require a better, stronger, more resilient you.  So you may be motivated to learn English to get into University, to get the job, or to get the promotion, but learning English can give you so much more. Let’s dive into it.

Problems, difficulties, and obstacles:

Time

Discipline

Direction

Self-doubt

Lack of confidence

Finances and Resources

Solutions:

All of these subjects and more are the “difficulties” to learning English. But they are your opportunities. When you begin to see these obstacles as the real gifts the universe has for you, your life will begin to be transformed. The ability to find solutions for these barriers will set you apart from the vast majority of people who “wish” they could speak English. You will have an advantage over the people who are looking for a fast, easy way to learn English. The truth is, for most people,  learning a language requires desire and character. When you see your difficulties as opportunities to build your character and learn real life skills, you will approach learning English with love. And you will understand your dedication and practice is a form of self-love. You will come to understand that discipline is the highest form of self-love. And it is by real, genuine self-love that you will be in a position to truly “love others”.

Confidence:

Confidence is knowing that life is often difficult and there will be challenges, but that you can successfully accept these challenges. You understand you will not have the answers, but you know you can find or create the answer to ANY of life’s problems. Small, Medium or Extra Enormous. That is real power.
